Happy Monday to everyone! This week we will be ending our poetry unit and moving to fiction. Below is the agenda for the week.
Monday: Poetry Post-Test (After the test, students will have opportunity to work on their Homework Unit 3 Vocabulary or work on Poetry Stations they may not have finished last week.)
Tuesday: We will be saying goodbye to poetry using a poem that was written during WWI "In Flander's Field".
Wednesday: Students will take a Fiction Pre-Assessment. Afterwards, students will watch a performance that is closely related to the poem. From that performance students will work in partners to co-construct a plot as an introduction to the Wide World of Fiction.
Thursday: Students will take a re-test for poetry at the beginning of class. Afterwards, they will begin taking notes about poetry in their Interactive Notebook.
Friday: We will finish taking notes about Fiction. Afterward, students will look at Dr. Seuss' The Sneeches to practice analysis.
